When I saw the first one, it was insane. I mean, she punches a kid that shot her in the hand. This movie was a bit of a mixed bag. While it was somewhat enjoyable, it was just as dumb as I thought it would be. It was at times, a little too over the top. There were a few moments that were quite relatable.

Strangers Poster So, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this movie series. I didn't overly love the first chapter. A lot of it boils down to the protagonist, Maya. She's as smart as she is dumb. There are multiple times where she did something smart to survive, then did something stupid. If you stab someone trying to kill you with a pitchfork and walk away without stabbing again in their face, definitely ending them...you know nothing of survival. The movie itself

The Conjuring franchise has been scaring audiences in multiple storylines for more than a decade. The first hitting theaters in 2013. Those that were unaware were introduced to the Warren's. Paranormal experts that investigate hauntings and demonic possessions.

I was a teen when these originals came out. Didn't watch the series or the direct to DVD sequel, but did follow Love's journey as Julie James. I enjoy horror movies for the fun, the spectacle. With movies like this, I enjoy the mystery element. Trying to figure out who's hiding behind the mask or in this case, slicker hat.

He decided to make it a requel, a sequel to Superman II and a reboot all in one. This, in my opinion, was one of the first steps in making the movie flop. I absolutely love the Reeve movies. Singer should have instead, honored the past and what he loved about those Superman movies and did a full reboot. You can tell how hard he was trying to honor the originals, but you have to grow and evolve as a franchise. Move forward, but remember the past.

What if this could have been a good movie? What if there was potential to be something pretty decent? Not as great as the first two, but potentially better than the third.
