This movie was a bit of a mixed bag. While it was somewhat enjoyable, it was just as dumb as I thought it would be. It was at times, a little too over the top. There were a few moments that were quite relatable.

It's a battle of the husbands because she can only have one Eternity. Does she go with her first husband where she had the most chemistry and was her first love? Or the man she fell in love with after and had a life with? Children. Family. 65 years of happiness.

Rian Johnson knows how to write a compelling mystery. A mystery that seems so impossible only one man can solve it...Adrian Monk. Wait, no. Benoit Blanc, but let's face it, Monk and Team Psych could put it together too.

Problem is in this future, the US is run by an authoritarian media network...far fetched, I know. Viewers are poor and with very little access to needed health care...again, far fetched, I know.

Strangers Poster So, I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this movie series. I didn't overly love the first chapter. A lot of it boils down to the protagonist, Maya. She's as smart as she is dumb. There are multiple times where she did something smart to survive, then did something stupid. If you stab someone trying to kill you with a pitchfork and walk away without stabbing again in their face, definitely ending them...you know nothing of survival. The movie itself

Horror movies get a lot of flack, but this year, there's been a lot of really decent ones. Sinners and this one are probably two of the top of the year. They're smartly written and tell an interesting story.

I was a teen when these originals came out. Didn't watch the series or the direct to DVD sequel, but did follow Love's journey as Julie James. I enjoy horror movies for the fun, the spectacle. With movies like this, I enjoy the mystery element. Trying to figure out who's hiding behind the mask or in this case, slicker hat.

Superman should have heart. Be a symbol for hope. He sometimes questions his decisions and his place in the world because, though he's an alien, he was raised by human and still tends to act like one. This is what Gunn's Superman represents. The ideals of what Superman is and what we all could be.

Cavil looks the role as Superman. The costume and the look, it all worked. He was a tough and serious Superman. What I never realized until after a few watches is that I didn’t feel that spark of hope.

He decided to make it a requel, a sequel to Superman II and a reboot all in one. This, in my opinion, was one of the first steps in making the movie flop. I absolutely love the Reeve movies. Singer should have instead, honored the past and what he loved about those Superman movies and did a full reboot. You can tell how hard he was trying to honor the originals, but you have to grow and evolve as a franchise. Move forward, but remember the past.

What if this could have been a good movie? What if there was potential to be something pretty decent? Not as great as the first two, but potentially better than the third.

So…Superman III. It had its moments? It was flawed with a wide range of problems. The first being that from the jump Christopher Reeve...

AI of course can be a wonderful and useful tool, depending on how we use it. It learns and becomes what it is based on what we feed it. Given the current climate of the world, I would advise against using any AI robots in the military in the distant future. Cause you know...again, Terminators.

Despite the glaring plot holes, this is a great movie. It’s fun and it shows how challenging it is for Clark to be both Clark and Superman. Wanting to live his day to day as Clark with Lois, but having to run off and save the world from terrorists or get a cat out of a tree. He chooses to help. To do good. To make the world better.

As a kid, I grew up with Christopher Reeve as Superman. He was and is my benchmark of all those who take on the role. With the new movie a few weeks I decided to go back and rewatch all the modern day Superman movies (1-4, Returns, and Man of Steel) and review them. Looking back without the nostolgia glasses and give my honest take on the films.

It's a John Wick sequel. It's a summer popcorn movie. Absurd action sequences, but done way better than most movies.

So, it's really been over forty years since Ralph Maccio learned the ways of Miyagi-Do karate. While I never saw the first one in theaters (I was only four or so), I did see the other ones. I watched the original ALL the time, because I freakin' LOVED The Karate Kid. Let's dive into the history before the quick review...

The story was interesting and the characters were great. The pacing felt a little slow to me though.
