So, once again, I've gotten a bit behind in my movie reviews. I see a movie and should come right home and write my thoughts and a review of it. Instead...I don't I've seen at least ten movies since my last posting. So, we're going rapid fire and because it's been a minute since I've seen some of these, those well be less fleshed out.
We begin with the rest of my December movies...

Werewolves...half the reason I saw this was Katriana Law. I adore her. She's great. Just watch her as Nyssa in "Arrow" and "Spartacus". She was very much badass in this, as she always is. A supermoon created werewolves by turning anyone who stepped into the moonlight. A billion people died. A year later, it returned.
Scientists and a military group are working on a cure and keep people alive through the night of the supermoon. Leading the charge to protect the is Frank Grillow (Captain America: Winter Soldier) as Wesley Marshall. With a moonscreen to protect them, the team works to stop the werewolves as Wesley tries to get to his family (who are of course in trouble).
It's a different take on the Werewolf lore and while the action sequences are good enough, the story felt slow, but the pacing was quick...if that makes any sense. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it more than once.
2/5

Kraven: The Hunter...This will be quicker than the slow death of the SONY Marvel Universe.
You had a great actor. You had a weak story. You had great action sequences. You're villain was awful. The Rhino, however, was still better than Paul Giamatti's version. So, you get a couple points on that.
Everyone wasn't expecting much with this and we were right. It kept my attention, but wasn't anything special. I'd say let Disney Marvel take the reins, but it's been hit and miss with them too.
1/5...RIP SONY Marvel.

Nosferatu...Take the popular Dracula story, rename it, turn it into a creepy silent film and remake it 100 years later.
The story is kind of the same, but it is visually stunning. A phenomenal cast of actors including Willem Dafoe, Nicholas Hoult, and the always strange but brilliant Bill Skarsgard. Lily-Rose Depp is brilliant as the young Ellen, plagued by nightmares of marrying death (Count Orlok).
It is the perfect movie for Halloween. Guessing it was released in December was to get it close to Oscar season.
Give this one a watch, its worth a view.

Finally, our last December movie...

Sonic The Hedgehog 3...It's very similar to the second one. Someone from Sonic's world arrives, thought to be the antagonist, becomes a friend and partner to the blue speedster.
This one has Keanu...that's all you need to know. Keanu gets all the love and all the points. His character Shadow was dark and had a tragic past. Now he wants revenge on those who captured him. Put a tie on him and give him guns, lots of guns, and he could be John Wick.
Its Sonic...you know what you're getting into. It's a cute movie for kids. Fun for adults. Jim Carrey is mugging for the camera in duel roles as Dr. Robotnik and his father.
Fun movie for the holidays when it came out (Yule love it!)
